A little history of Orléans Louis-Pasteur park

We are now a little way away from the city heart. This is a big art deco park created in 1927.

It has mosaïculture (mosaic) flowerbeds, a technique which was fashionable between the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century.

Mosaïculture? What's this? A technique which consisted in a flowerbed with very colourful flowers and plants.

Here's an example of mosaïculture: flowerbeds that represent cities blazons, on French roundabouts...

Anyway, this is a nice park, with vast alleys and lawns in the shade...
