While Burgundians and Armagnacs waged war during the Hundred Years War in Ile-de-France, Joan of Arc turned up in Lagny with her little troop. We were in April 1430… and a miracle happened. Yes! Listen...

People from the village came one day to see Joan, and brought her back in the church. Here, lying in front of the statue of Notre-Dame-des-Ardents, a baby, who died 3 days ago. He had his skin already black, says a chronicler…

The little boy died without baptism, and his mother took him here, next to the statue, hoping for a miracle… Joan started to pray. And suddenly… the kid resurrected, he yawned 3 times! They immediately baptized him, and he kicked the bucket, one more time: but this time, they buried him in ″a holy land″…

What’s next? Joan set off again, and on May 24th, she was taken prisoner by the English in Compiègne (Picardy)…
