Welcome in Gramont, in Tarn-et-Garonne! A nice Renaissance castle, mentioned for the first time in 1215, with Eudes de Montaut.
Montaut family kept the castle until the end of the 15th century: they extended it and raised the front facing the church.
Gramont fell to Guillaume de Voisins in 1491, then, Aymeric de Voisins raised the Renaissance wing in 1545, which formed an "L" with the former building. Gramont was restored in the 19th century by the Fontan de Goth family.
And the castle, after that, was abandoned... The Dichamp family owned it in 1961: this couple, fond of History, restored the castle and gave it to the Centre des Monuments Nationaux.
