Town house Juvénal des Ursins townhouse

With its great mullioned windows, our mansion is a fine instance of Renaissance style!

In the beginning of the 15th century, this house belonged to a rich family of merchant, The Jouvenel.

They were ennobled and were called Juvénal des Ursins. Among them, we have Jean Jouvenel, born in Troyes in 1360, provost in Paris.

But after the huge fire in 1524, the mansion completely burnt: so they rebuilt it entirely with white stones.
