Castle Saint-Jean-de-Beauregard castle

"Beautiful sight", beau regard in French, that was the view the lawyer François Dupoux, who purchased the estate in the 17th century, had from his castle put up in 1612.

But you'll come here to visit the inner decoration, but above all to see its vegetable garden, a true oasis!

Fell to the baron de Neufville, then to the marquis de Saint-Pierre, the castle was extended in the 18th century with two low wings on both sides. The countess de La Murinais laid out a landscaped park with the landscape gardener Vernaud in the 19th century.

The Caraman family bought the estate in 1879 and undertook the restoration of the whole property, especially the kitchen garden: they planted old fruits and vegetables, creating great cultural events!
