A little history of Saint-Michel church in La Garde-Adhémar
The first mention of the church dates back to 1105, it belonged to Tournus abbey. At that time, they called it "church de la Garde" and was only a dependence of the priory of the val des Nymphes, located a few kilometres away.
For that matter, Grignan's chapter annexed the priory du Val and the church of Saint-Michel in the 16th century.
You know what? A 1620 report said all the church's stained glass windows were broken and the roof collapsed.
