What’s this?
The Bourdaloue is a tart full of frangipane, with a coat of poached pears on top. Simple, but so yummy!
This French recipe comes from Paris.
The little history
This dessert was created by the pastry-cook Fasquelle, settled rue Bourdaloue in Paris (9th arrondissement), in the middle of the 19th century.
You know what? He added a cross at the top of the tart, made of a macaroon biscuit.
