La Ferté owns its name from William's the Conqueror's comrade in arms, Macé. William gave this brave man a castle raised here in the middle of the 11th century...
So, what about our church? In the past, there was a Romanesque church (11th century), but the current church was raised in 1851 in Neogothic style, by architect François Liger.
