Bridge Pont de Sully in Paris

Maximilien de Béthune, duke of Sully, Henri IV’s minister, gave his name to the bridge!

A pretty recent building, raised in 1876 in order to replace the iron footbridge created in 1838: the Damiette passerelle.

It owns its name from the Egyptian city besieged by king of France saint Louis, patron saint of the Parisian island.
