What’s the purpose of this high bell-tower? A church?
Almost: a remain of a former church dedicated to saint Antoine!
Raised between 1529 and 1575, this Renaissance tower is decorated with a frieze made of little characters, but also governor Honorat de Savoie’s crosses, designing a kind of balustrade.
You can visit the tower every year in September, for the French Journées du Patrimoine.
