Collegiate church Saint-Liphard church in Meung

I'm standing now in front of Saint-Liphard collegiate church. A monastery was founded on the tomb of a hermit called Liphard, in the 9th century.

Bishop of Orléans Manassès de Garlande and after him Manassès de Seignelay rebuilt the church at the end of the 12th century: they used stones of the former 11th century's church.

Lower parts of the transept and the choir date back to 1100. The nave was built in the 13th century, the bell-tower in the 11th century.
