A little history of Vaulaville castle

Adrien Morin de Banneville, royal finances officer, put up this little castle in 1720, near Caen. The building is composed of a cellar, a ground floor with 5 reception rooms including an oval room and a storey housing sleeping rooms. When Morin died, Vaulaville fell to the Achard de Vacognes family in 1835, to the Picot de Vaulogé in 1888, then to Mrs. Corblet de Fallerans in 1961. During your visit, don't forget the Louis XIII style outhouses, altered in the 19th century, but also the inner decoration with the Regency panelling.
