Bordeaux port de la Lune Harbour

What a poetic name, for a bridge: "Moon harbour" (port de la Lune in French)... It’s because here, the river Garonne has a crescent shape: a crescent we also find on Bordeaux city’s coat or arms.

Also, the city’s motto, Lilia sola regunt, lunam undas, castra leonem, means that "fleurs de lis (kings of France) rule on the Moon harbour, governing its castles and its lions". Whoa, what a symbol!

And also!
