An amazing wooden church, raised by carpenters (who also built boats) in the middle of the 15th century on the foundations of a former church.
On this square, until the 19th century, we found Sainte-Catherine cemetery which surrounded the church.
By the way, where is the bell-tower? Look at that! The tower is separated from the church by a street!
In fact, in the past, bell-towers were very often struck by lightning. In case of storm, the church would be burnt and the believers would be trapped and died...
Did you notice the small house below? Its ground floor used to be the bell-ringer's house!
Now, come inside: we have two vaulted nave with aisles. One of them dates back to the 15th century, the other one is more recent. They added a neoclassical portal with Doric columns in the 19th century.
