Sainte-Odile church in Paris Parish church

Raised by Jacques Barge between 1934 and 1946, the church is a tribute to Alsace. The architect was inspired by churches from the Rhine, like Sainte-Odile convent near Strasbourg. He also added brightness, a tribute to Odile... patron saint of light!

The church was raised at that time on a land given by the city (they wanted to build buildings here). It has a framework made of reinforced concrete. The bell-tower is 72 metres high!

And also!
