The kig is a pot-au-feu from Brittany (Léon area, in Northern Finistère), a beef and vegetable stew, the most famous Breton meal!

In Breton, Kig means "meat" and farz, a kind of paste: so, meat with a buckwheat paste, cooked in a canvas bag! You can eat this meal with lipig, spread butter with shallots...
