The quernon, the blue chocolate from Angers

Created by a chocolate-maker from Angers, la Petite Marquise, in 1960, this speciality is made of nougatine with almonds and nuts, coated with chocolate.

It’s a blue sweet, because it echoes the quernons, those slate blocks used in Anjou to make roofs.
