Castle Troussebarrière castle

We are now in front of one of the two castles in Briare: Trousse-Barrière. It was built in 1890 by the director of the enamels factory. Nowadays, the place houses exhibitions. Oh, I have a little anecdote... do you know that literally, Trousse-Barrière means "beavers wood"? Trousse used to mean a coppice and barrière comes from a Latin word, biber ("beaver") and aria ("area"). Oh, don't worry, I've seen any of those rodents here!
