Castle Legend Ghost Vauvert castle

Before the current Sénat, we found the Luxembourg palace raised by Mary of Medici.

On this green suburb, we also found the famous château Vauvert...

In the 10th century, people said this house was a horrible haunted castle! The Devil even lived here!

King saint Louis gave it to Carthusian monks, who moved here and founded a monastery, with vast orchards and beautiful greenhouses...

The French expression aller au diable Vauvert, “to send someone miles away”, came from Vauvert castle!
