A soup with peas, green peas, carrots, leeks and pieces of diced bacon... This starter comes from Ile-de-France area.

The little history

The soup was named after the famous count de Saint-Germain. Oh, but who was he? Because in the 18th century, we had... 2 counts of Saint-Germain! The first one was Claude-Louis de Saint-Germain, Louis XVI’s war minister, the other one was the mysterious "immortal" count, who spent his time bluffing people, let them thinking he was several hundred years old...
