Castle Bagatelle castle in Abbeville

Put up in 1740 for Abraham von Robais, manager of the Abbeville cloth factory, Bagatelle is one of those folie, these little country houses fashionable in the reign of king Louis XV.

The castle was composed of one single ground floor.

About fifteen years later, they added a floor with a mansard roof in 1790.

Apartments are gorgeous: wood panelling, rocaille style furniture, summer living room, vestibule, winter room...
