Gilles Housse's townhouse

Here, I discover the old house called Belle-Croix ("Nice Cross"). The front door looks like a castle's entrance, isn't it?

The lintel with its round corners crowned by a bracket and by a badge, is sheltered by a small stony porch roof.

They probably hammered the badge during the French Revolution.

From each side of brackets, we can see two monograms: to the left, the Christ's one, to the right the Virgin Mary's one; below, the house's owner, Gilles Housse.
