Garden Bishopric garden in Orléans

Come on... and have a rest in this nice jardin de l'Evêché... Look! This brick and stone wall is a vestige from the old Gallo-Roman's rampart.

The bishopric was built by cardinal Cambout de Coislin, king of France Louis XV's first chaplain.

This is a perfect Classical building: sober outlines, a symmetrical main body...

At the bottom of the garden, do you see that? Sainte-Croix cathedral, just behind the lovely gate!
