The big history of river Loire

Well, we have two kind of marine in Briare.

We have here two different worlds, two kind of seamen: river Loire's seafarers and Loire's lateral canal's sailors. Do you just imagine the abundant activity that ruled here?

Well, the museum summons up this magnificent era, with thematic rooms: reconstituting of quays where millers, coopers, washerwomen used to discharge slat, wine, wheat... in short, everything cities needed.
